Agreement
By using this website, our client portal or our services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them. Where we agree different terms with you in writing (for example in a quote or project proposal), those written terms take priority for that job.
Our services
Geeks Technologies provides IT support and repair, web design and development, hardware and networking help, and ongoing maintenance. The scope, price and timing of each job are confirmed with you before work begins. Anything outside the agreed scope is quoted separately.
Your responsibilities
- Give us accurate information about the problem and about your devices, accounts and systems.
- Only ask us to work on equipment, accounts and websites you own or are authorised to manage.
- Keep your own backups of important data. We recommend this before any repair, upgrade or migration.
- Keep your passwords and portal login details private.
- Do not ask us to do anything unlawful.
Remote access
Much of our work is done remotely. We only start a remote session with your permission, we access only what is needed to do the job, and you can end the session at any time.
Client portal
Our client portal lets you view invoices, open support tickets and manage services. You are responsible for activity on your account. Please tell us straight away if you think it has been accessed without your permission. We may suspend accounts that are misused or that put the portal or other clients at risk.
Fees and payment
- Invoices are payable by the due date shown on the invoice or in the portal.
- Prices exclude any taxes that apply, unless stated otherwise.
- Maintenance contracts run for the agreed term. Renewal, cancellation, payment schedules, and any recurring billing arrangements are stated in the individual agreement.
- We may pause work on an account with overdue invoices.
Response times and availability
Support availability and response targets are set out in your service agreement. Response and resolution times we mention, such as a critical response goal, are targets rather than guarantees. Some problems depend on third parties, on parts, or on access we do not control.
Ownership of work
Unless we agree otherwise in writing, ownership of the custom design and content we create for you passes to you once the related invoice is paid in full. Third-party software, themes, plugins, fonts and images remain subject to their own licences. Unless you ask us not to, we may mention that we worked with you, without sharing confidential details.
Limits on our responsibility
We carry out our work with reasonable skill and care. We cannot promise that every problem can be fixed, or that a fix will be permanent, because hardware and software can fail for reasons outside anyone’s control. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of data, or loss of profit or business, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific service that gave rise to it. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under consumer law that cannot legally be limited.
Third-party products and links
We may recommend or set up third-party products and services, such as hosting, software or payment providers. These are provided under their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.
Ending or suspending service
You can stop using our services at any time, subject to any notice period on a recurring plan. We may suspend or end services for non-payment, misuse, or where continuing would be unsafe or unlawful.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Geeks Technologies is legally established, and disputes will be handled by the courts of that jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer law in your country says otherwise.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page applies to new work from the date shown above.
